Khloé Kardashian Reportedly Issued Ultimatum That Led Tristan Thompson to Get a Vasectomy

Khloé Kardashian said she played a major role in Tristan Thompson’s decision to get a vasectomy, a revelation that surfaced during the May 28 episode of her podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land. On the show, Kardashian asked Thompson whether he wanted more children in the future, prompting him to say that if he had any more kids, they would likely come from her embryos. Thompson said he already has enough children and does not want any more with other partners.

Kardashian then joked that she may have given him an ultimatum, and Thompson appeared to agree in a playful way, saying that sometimes men have to make tough decisions. He admitted that he was not eager to undergo the procedure at first and described himself as stubborn, saying he tends to learn through experience rather than being told what to do.

Thompson, a former NBA player, is already father to four children from different relationships. He welcomed son Prince in 2016 with then-girlfriend Jordan Craig. In 2018, he and Kardashian welcomed their daughter True after reports emerged that he had cheated on her. In 2021, Thompson had son Theo with model Maralee Nichols, and later that year he and Kardashian ended their relationship. The former couple also welcomed their second child together, son Tatum, via surrogate in 2022.

Even after the vasectomy, Thompson said he is not completely closing the door on having more children, but only if they come from Kardashian’s embryos. Kardashian explained that the pair had saved sperm in case they ever wanted to expand their family in the future. She said the decision was made with the possibility in mind that Thompson could one day remarry and want children with a partner who may not be able to conceive. She also noted that the procedure could potentially be reversed.

Thompson, however, was clear that he does not want to have another vasectomy later in life. Kardashian laughed and reminded him that the recovery was not especially difficult, noting that he was up and walking soon after the procedure. Thompson added that the surgery took only about 15 minutes and said recovery was quick.

He recalled spending time with Kardashian days later while watching the 2021 NBA Finals, when the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Phoenix Suns. The exchange ended on a light note, with Thompson and Kardashian sharing a fist bump as he joked with her affectionately during the conversation.
