Kamson-Kamara Set to Join Jambos from Hearts

Heart of Midlothian have confirmed the pre-contract signing of English centre-half MJ Kamson-Kamara, with the 20-year-old set to join the club on July 1 after his contract with newly promoted EFL Championship side Lincoln City expires. He has agreed a deal at Tynecastle Park until 2030, subject to Scottish FA approval, and will link up with his new teammates for pre-season ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Kamson-Kamara arrives in Gorgie as a highly rated young defender, known for his height, athleticism and composure. He began his football development at Bromley before earning his first professional contract with Lincoln City in 2023. His early senior experience included loan spells at Barwell and Peterborough Sports, where he continued to gain valuable minutes and match exposure.

The defender made his Lincoln City first-team debut in the EFL Trophy in 2024, marking an important step in his progression. His most productive spell to date came last season with Glentoran in the NIFL Premiership, where he made 30 appearances and scored four goals. He played a key role in helping the Northern Irish club finish third in the league, just five points behind champions Larne, securing qualification for the first round of the UEFA Conference League.

Kamson-Kamara also featured in Glentoran’s run to the Irish League Cup final, where they were narrowly defeated 1-0 after extra time by Linfield. The loan spell added further experience at senior level and underlined his potential as a promising young defender capable of contributing at both ends of the pitch.

Heart of Midlothian will be looking to strengthen their squad for the new season, and Kamson-Kamara’s arrival fits the club’s strategy of adding young, developing talent with long-term potential. With a contract running until 2030, the Scottish side are investing in a player they believe can grow into an important part of the team in the years ahead.

The move represents a significant next step in Kamson-Kamara’s career as he prepares to test himself in Scottish football. For Hearts, it is another addition as they build toward a competitive 2026/27 season with ambitions of pushing on in domestic and European competition.
