The honeymoon follows a two-part wedding celebration. The pair reportedly held a quiet civil ceremony on May 31 at Old Marylebone Town Hall in London before staging a larger Italian wedding on June 6 in front of loved ones. The main celebration took place at Villa Valguarnera in Palermo, where the couple hosted a reception and dance party after an outdoor ceremony. Reports said the event featured a menu of Italian dishes prepared by Michelin chef Tony Lo Coco, including panelle, crocché, anelletti alla Norma, cannoli and cassate. The evening also included a performance by Elton John, who sang “Your Song” for the newlyweds, and ended with a fireworks display.
The wedding drew a notable guest list that included Mark Ronson, Grace Gummer, Joe Alwyn, Charli XCX, George Daniel and Troye Sivan. Lipa’s wedding wardrobe also drew significant attention before the larger celebration. At the civil ceremony in London, she wore a custom Schiaparelli Haute Couture ivory blazer and matching asymmetric skirt with a blush pink bustier, a look designed by Daniel Roseberry and said to be inspired by Bianca Jagger’s style.
