German Model Missing for 11 Years Identified in Epstein Files After Alleged Email to Jeffrey Epstein Reading, “You Will Love Her”

A German model who vanished more than a decade ago has resurfaced in an unexpected way after her name appeared in documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein. According to Der Spiegel, Michele disappeared from her mother’s home in early September 2015, when she was 22, after leaving with a suitcase and telling her family she was going on a trip. Her brother Jonas said this kind of travel had happened before, so the family initially expected her to return within a week or two. When she did not come back, concern grew. A month later, the family reported her missing, but police said they could do little because she was an adult and there was no evidence of a crime.

The family searched for answers for years. They contacted Michele’s friends, but no one seemed to know where she had gone. Her mother, Annett, said the family held onto hope that Michele would eventually reappear. That hope was revived when documents released by the U.S. Department of Justice in the Epstein case included Michele’s name, along with that of Daniel Siad, a man accused of helping connect women to Epstein and other wealthy men.

Annett told Der Spiegel that Michele had moved to Dubai in 2012 after leaving school to pursue modeling. There, she met Siad at the restaurant Buddha-Bar. Michele reportedly told her mother that Siad claimed to be a model scout looking for attractive young women. Siad has publicly described himself as a modeling agent who discovers women and refers them to agencies, and he had connections to top model agencies. However, he was also accused of introducing women to powerful men, including Epstein.

The family later became suspicious about Michele’s glamorous lifestyle. Annett said her daughter traveled to China, the United Kingdom and South America for modeling jobs and photo shoots, staying in luxury hotels and taking expensive trips, but she would not provide details. Her father, Vlado, eventually confronted her after hearing her speak to Siad on the phone. Michele allegedly told him she worked for Siad as an escort.

According to the report, Siad’s name appears nearly 2,000 times in the Epstein files and he was in contact with Epstein from at least 2009. In February 2014, Siad emailed Epstein photos of Michele. A month later, he asked whether Epstein wanted a ticket for “Michele” and described her as “the girl you missed from Germany.” He also called her “very cool” and said Epstein would “love her.”

The documents do not prove Michele ever met Epstein in person. Two former Epstein assistants told Der Spiegel they never saw her, and German police said she had not traveled to the United States when the emails were sent. Siad is now under investigation in France on suspicion of aiding Epstein’s trafficking and abuse of women, though he has denied wrongdoing.

For Michele’s family, the revelations may offer new clues, but no clear answers yet about what happened to her.
