Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott Attend Daughter Stella’s High School Graduation

Tori Spelling and her ex-husband Dean McDermott reunited on Thursday in Southern California to celebrate their daughter Stella’s high school graduation. The former couple, who finalized their divorce seven months ago, appeared together at the outdoor ceremony as their 18-year-old daughter reached a major milestone.
Spelling, 53, was photographed wearing a white and cream boho-style sundress while standing beside Stella, who wore a royal blue graduation cap, blue gown, and a white flower lei. McDermott, 59, attended in a plain white T-shirt and brown slacks. During the commencement exercises, he was seen taking pictures of Stella and cheering her on from the sidelines.
The pair also appeared to be chatting and seated next to each other as they watched their eldest child receive her diploma. After walking across the stage, Stella posed with both parents on her high school football field. In one image, Spelling carried what appeared to be Stella’s blue graduation cap as she headed out of the event. The family seemed to leave together after the ceremony, with McDermott and Spelling walking side by side with their children.
The graduation reunion came nearly three years after McDermott publicly announced the couple’s split following 18 years of marriage and five children. He later deleted the post, but the breakup eventually led to divorce proceedings. Spelling officially filed for divorce in March 2024, and the final judgment was reported in November. The former couple also share four other children: Liam, 19, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 9.
Their friendly appearance at Stella’s graduation reflects a more positive co-parenting dynamic. In December, Spelling spoke about the relationship in a more affectionate light, saying she was grateful to be on good terms with McDermott. She said that, despite expectations that the divorce would be difficult and messy, it turned out to be “super easy and loving.”
The graduation marked a family-focused moment for the pair, who had not only separated publicly but also continued to navigate major personal and financial matters. A final judgment reportedly showed that they owe at least $1.7 million in unpaid state and federal taxes. Still, the event suggested that both parents were united in supporting their daughter during an important life milestone.
For Stella, the ceremony marked the completion of four years of high school and a celebratory moment surrounded by her family. For Spelling and McDermott, it was a public sign of civility and cooperation as they moved forward after their marriage ended.
