Alix Earle had an unexpected moment while spending the weekend in Monaco for pre-Formula 1 Grand Prix festivities. In a June 6 vlog, the influencer said she was accidentally punched in the face by a man who was trying to help her and her friends get security’s attention while they were leaving a party. Earle joked about the incident, saying it was her first time being punched in the face, and even laughed it off afterward. Her friend Stassie Karanikolaou also described the moment, saying Earle’s hair had been knocked into her face after the hit.
Earle arrived in Monaco a few days earlier after a travel mishap delayed her trip. She missed her first flight out of Miami because she had forgotten her passport in California. After a member of her team flew the passport to her, she was able to join friends including Jake Shane and Karanikolaou on a yacht tied to Alo’s weekend festivities on the French Riviera. The group spent the weekend attending events, relaxing on the yacht, and watching the Monaco Grand Prix from a boat in the harbor.
The Monaco trip came shortly after another busy appearance for Earle in Miami. Last week, she walked in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show during Miami Swim Week, where she reunited with her former Dancing with the Stars partner Val Chmerkovskiy. In clips shared on social media, Earle appeared onstage in a blue swimsuit and danced alongside Chmerkovskiy before heading down the runway. Other Dancing with the Stars personalities, including Jenna Johnson and Emma Slater, also took part in the show.
Earle and Chmerkovskiy previously competed together on Dancing with the Stars and made it to the finals. Their run on the show drew attention from fans, and they were among the pairs competing for the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy. Robert Irwin and Witney Carson ultimately won that season.
Ahead of the Monaco weekend, Earle had already hinted that she was entering a more carefree period. In a June 3 video, she said her “fun summer” was beginning and that she planned to be spontaneous and say yes to new experiences. After a hectic stretch that included travel trouble, runway appearances, and a surprise punch in the face, her summer appears to be starting with plenty of unexpected moments.
