Pink praises teen daughter Willow in Tony Awards 2026 opening monologue

Pink spotlighted her daughter Willow Sage Hart during her 2026 Tony Awards hosting debut, calling the 15-year-old “Broadway’s biggest fan” in her opening monologue at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday in New York City. The singer, 46, said she was there as “Broadway’s biggest fan,” then added that Willow deserved the title even more. Pink’s family was also on hand for the occasion, including husband Carey Hart, son Jameson Moon Hart and her mother, Judith Moore, who joined her for a red carpet portrait before the show.

Willow’s love of musical theater has become a central part of Pink’s recent public appearances and family moments. The teenager, who is pursuing a future in theater, recently accompanied her mother to the opening night of “The Lost Boys” on Broadway in April. Pink shared how proud she was of her daughter during that rare red carpet outing, while Willow appeared comfortable and supportive alongside her mother.

Pink and Willow have also performed together on several high-profile stages. In August 2024, they appeared at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago and performed a special version of “What About Us.” During the performance, Willow sang solo lines while Pink watched in admiration. A year earlier, Willow joined her mother on stage at the opening night of Pink’s Summer Carnival Tour in June 2023 to sing “Cover Me In Sunshine,” the song the pair originally released together in 2021.

Pink has spoken openly about how emotional it has been to watch Willow grow into her own ambitions. In June 2024, the singer shared that Willow was stepping back from touring to focus on theater professionally. Willow said she hoped to be a “kid on Broadway” before eventually becoming “an adult on Broadway.” Pink responded with pride and emotion, saying she was heartbroken to see her daughter move on from tour life, but thrilled to support her dreams.

Willow turned 15 on June 2, and the milestone prompted heartfelt messages from both parents. Pink later said she had once been terrified of becoming a mother, but now viewed motherhood as one of the most meaningful parts of her life. She said Willow had taught her what love is and that she had loved every stage of raising her daughter. Carey Hart also posted a birthday tribute, calling Willow his “beautiful daughter” and saying each year brings them closer to her independence, even as he remains proud of the person she is becoming.

Pink’s Tony Awards remarks and the family’s public support highlighted a recurring theme in the singer’s life: her deep pride in Willow’s artistic growth. As Pink celebrated Broadway on one of theater’s biggest nights, she made sure the audience knew her daughter has already become one of its youngest and most enthusiastic fans.
