Real Madrid prepare €150m Michael Olise bid if Florentino Pérez is re-elected

Real Madrid are preparing a major move for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, with the club expected to launch a €150 million bid if Florentino Pérez is re-elected as president this weekend. Pérez is widely tipped to defeat rival candidate Enrique Riquelme, whose campaign has also drawn attention for promises involving Erling Haaland.
Pérez spoke to the Spanish media on Thursday and said he planned to satisfy Madrid supporters with a major signing next week, though he denied that he was referring to Olise. However, sources indicate that the Bayern attacker is the main target for Real Madrid this summer if Pérez keeps his position. Madrid are also said to have interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder João Neves, but Olise is believed to be the priority.
Olise, who previously played for Crystal Palace, has quickly become one of the standout attackers in Europe since joining Bayern in 2024. He has been a key figure under Vincent Kompany and has helped Bayern win two Bundesliga titles. His performances have established him as one of the most exciting forwards in the game, and he is expected to play an important role for France at the World Cup.
Bayern are determined to keep the winger and will resist any attempt to prise him away. Olise remains under contract until 2029, giving the German club a strong position in any potential negotiations. Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeness has already described him as “unsellable,” underlining the club’s stance.
Real Madrid’s interest has also been reinforced by José Mourinho, whose return as manager is expected to be finalised if Pérez wins the election. Mourinho was reportedly present to watch Olise during Bayern’s German Cup final win over VfB Stuttgart last month, suggesting the player has been identified as a top target.
Madrid are aiming for a significant summer rebuild after going two seasons without winning a trophy. The club has already lined up moves for Ibrahima Konaté on a free transfer and Inter defender Denzel Dumfries, and a pursuit of Olise would signal another high-profile addition as they look to reassert themselves at the top of European football.
