TS Inter Supplementary Results 2026 Declared: Telangana TGBIE IPASE First-Year Pass Rate Stands at 68.84%, Girls Outperform Boys in Both Years

The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE), Hyderabad, has announced the results of the Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations (IPASE) May/June 2026 for both General and Vocational streams. The examinations were held from May 13, 2026, to May 21, 2026, with practical tests conducted from May 22, 2026, to May 25, 2026. In total, 3,98,459 students appeared for the first and second-year supplementary examinations across 889 centres, and answer scripts were evaluated at 17 spot valuation centres before the results were finalised.
For the first year, 2,67,331 candidates from the General and Vocational streams appeared, and 1,84,042 students passed, taking the overall pass percentage to 68.84. The General stream recorded a pass rate of 68.71, while the Vocational stream stood at 70.88. Among the successful candidates, 92,960 students secured A grade with 75 per cent or more marks. Another 45,736 students received B grade, 26,906 obtained C grade and 18,440 passed with D grade. The board said 1,22,964 candidates improved their performance through the supplementary examinations, while 1,44,367 were listed as non-improvement cases.
Girls outperformed boys in the first year across both streams. A total of 1,23,974 girls appeared for the examination, of whom 94,343 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 76.10. Among boys, 1,43,356 appeared and 89,698 qualified, giving a pass rate of 62.57. The board also reported four malpractice cases in the first-year examination, while no results were withheld.
In the second year, 1,31,128 candidates appeared across the General and Vocational streams, and 64,639 students passed. This translated into an overall pass percentage of 49.29. The General stream recorded a pass percentage of 47.70, while the Vocational stream posted a stronger 65.43. Most of the successful candidates cleared the exam through compartmental passes, with the board reporting 64,582 compartmental passes, including 56,847 in the General stream and 7,735 in the Vocational stream.
The second-year grade distribution was limited, with 35 candidates securing A grade, 19 obtaining B grade, two receiving C grade and one candidate passing with D grade. Gender-wise, girls again registered a better performance than boys. Out of 47,395 girls who appeared, 24,910 passed, taking the pass percentage to 52.56. Among boys, 83,733 appeared and 39,729 qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of 47.45.
The board reported five malpractice cases in the second-year examinations. It also said two candidates in the General stream were kept under the withheld category. The announced results cover both General and Vocational courses under the IPASE 2026 examinations conducted across Telangana.
