Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Set to Marry at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan

Multiple sources say Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding is being planned for Madison Square Garden in Midtown Manhattan, with privacy and security reportedly central to the couple’s decision. The venue, best known as the home of the Knicks, Rangers and major concerts, is said to have drawn interest because of its high-security infrastructure, multiple entrances and ability to be transformed for a private event. According to the report, guests may be transported on blacked-out buses and the ceremony could be arranged in a highly controlled, secretive manner. MSG has not commented publicly on the speculation.
The reported wedding timing is the July 3 weekend in New York, a detail Page Six had previously said was part of the couple’s plans. The venue’s calendar reportedly shows no events from June 29 through July 6, which has fueled more discussion that the garden could be reserved for the occasion. While the choice would be unusual for a wedding, the report notes that a venue with significant resources could be adapted into a one-of-a-kind ceremony space.
Swift has a long connection to Madison Square Garden, having performed there eight times across her career, including shows from the “Fearless” and “Speak Now” tours and multiple Z100 Jingle Ball appearances. That history adds to the symbolism of the venue if the wedding does take place there. However, the setting may also surprise some fans, especially after Swift and Kelce were seen attending a Cavaliers game in Cleveland on May 23, with Kelce wearing a Cavaliers cap. The pair were also spotted around New York City in May, dining at several restaurants and visiting neighborhoods in Manhattan and Brooklyn, prompting speculation that they were scouting wedding plans.
The guest list is also rumored to include several famous names, among them Karlie Kloss, Zoë Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, the Haim sisters, Suki Waterhouse, Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez. One notable absence, according to the report, is Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Sperry, who were said to have been left off the list after a reported falling out.
Security in New York is expected to be especially tight over Independence Day weekend, with a range of major events already scheduled, including holiday celebrations, America’s 250th anniversary programming, the NBA Finals and a World Cup match at MetLife Stadium. New York Police Department commissioner Jessica Tisch recently joked about the possibility of Swift’s wedding while discussing city security, underscoring how much attention the event would draw if it goes ahead.
Swift’s ties to New York run deep. She bought and renovated properties in Tribeca, lived on Cornelia Street, and has long embraced the city as part of her public identity. She also wrote “Welcome to New York” as a tribute to the city and once served as New York City’s Global Welcome Ambassador. If the wedding does happen at Madison Square Garden, it would mark one of the most high-profile celebrity events ever staged in the heart of Manhattan.
