Powerball Jackpot Reaches $225 Million for Monday, June 8: Winning Numbers

The Powerball jackpot climbed to $225 million, with a cash value of $100.3 million, ahead of the Monday, June 8, 2026 drawing. The prize had gone unclaimed for more than a month, since two winners from Texas and Florida split a $20 million jackpot on May 2. Powerball said the grand prize has been won nearly 200 times since the game began in 1992, with Indiana, Missouri, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin producing the most winners.
The winning numbers for the June 8 drawing were 3, 24, 34, 43 and 49, with Powerball 20 and a Power Play multiplier of 3x.
Powerball is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Players do not need to be U.S. citizens or residents to buy a ticket, as long as they are of legal age at the point of purchase and buy from an authorized retailer. Tickets cost $2 per play, with an optional $1 Power Play feature that can multiply non-jackpot prizes by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x. Players choose five white balls from 1 to 69 and one red Powerball from 1 to 26, or can use Quick Pick for random numbers.
To win the jackpot, a ticket must match all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball. Drawings are held Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights, and if no one wins, the jackpot continues to rise. The list of the largest Powerball prizes includes the record $2.040 billion jackpot won in California on Nov. 7, 2022, along with several billion-dollar prizes awarded in California, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, Oregon, Michigan and other states.
