Hurricanes vs. Knights: What Channel Is Tonight’s Game On?
The Stanley Cup Final moves to Las Vegas on Saturday with the series tied 1-1 between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Carolina Hurricanes. Vegas opened the championship round with a 5-4 win in Game 1, but Carolina responded in Game 2 with a 4-3 overtime victory to even the best-of-seven series. Game 3 is set for June 6 in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, followed by Game 4 on June 9, also in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. ET. If needed, Game 5 will shift to Carolina on June 11, Game 6 will be played in Las Vegas on June 14, and Game 7 would return to Carolina on June 17.
The matchup has drawn additional attention because of the scoring pace in recent NHL playoff games. The record for most goals by a single team in a playoff game belongs to the Edmonton Oilers, who scored 13 against the Los Angeles Kings on April 9, 1987. The highest combined score in a playoff game remains 18 goals, set when the Kings defeated the Oilers 10-8 on April 7, 1982. There have also been several 16-goal playoff games, including high-scoring meetings involving Edmonton and Los Angeles.
More recently, the Colorado Avalanche and Minnesota Wild produced another memorable offensive outburst on May 3, 2026, when Colorado won 9-6 for a total of 15 goals. That tied the third-highest-scoring game in NHL playoff history, matching the 2022 game between the Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers.
With the final now shifting venues, both teams enter Game 3 looking for a pivotal edge in a series that has already featured close games, late drama, and strong scoring from both sides. The Golden Knights will try to use home-ice advantage to regain control, while the Hurricanes aim to keep the pressure on after stealing Game 2 in overtime.
