Federal Revenue Auction Offers Car for R$10,000; Learn How to Participate

Brazil’s Federal Revenue Service is holding an electronic auction in São Paulo this month featuring seized or abandoned goods, including vehicles, household appliances, jewelry, electronics, clothing, and agricultural machinery. To take part, bidders must access the Receita Federal portal, choose “Participar de leilão eletrônico,” and sign in with a Gov.br account at silver or gold level. The auction notice is 0800100/0000008/2026 for São Paulo, and bids must be submitted by 6 p.m. on Friday, June 12. The live bidding session is scheduled for June 15.
Among the highlighted lots is a silver 2025 Chevrolet Onix with a starting bid of R$ 18,000 in lot 204. Other featured vehicles include a white 2009 Peugeot Boxer van for R$ 8,600 in lot 205, a silver 2011 Mercedes-Benz microbus for R$ 22,000 in lot 206, and a silver 2007 Toyota Premio with a minimum bid of R$ 10,500 in lot 14. The catalog also includes an electric Voltz EVS Work motorcycle without a battery for R$ 2,900 in lot 63 and an electric scooter for R$ 1,200 in lot 95.
The auction also includes higher-value machinery, such as a used John Deere harvester manufactured in 2008 in the United States, listed in lot 77 with a starting price of R$ 90,000. At the lower end of the price range, there is a pair of Tiffany silver earrings with a minimum bid of R$ 180 in lot 96. Lot 183 brings together two microwaves, two coffee makers, two air fryers, and one deep fryer for R$ 800, while a Nilfisk vacuum cleaner is listed for R$ 650 in lot 650.
In addition to these items, the Receita Federal is offering lots containing computers, tablets, smartwatches, screens and mobile phone parts, printers, monitors, projectors, cameras, speakers, musical instruments, toys, fishing gear, tools, electronic components, and industrial materials.
The auction is open to both individuals and companies, but there are restrictions. Private individuals may only bid on certain lots, including 14, 63, 95, and 96. Some items also have special resale restrictions. For example, lots 15 through 20 cannot be resold, even if purchased by a company.
Inspection of the goods is available by appointment until Thursday, June 11, at Receita Federal units in São Paulo, Barueri, Santo André, São Bernardo do Campo, Campinas, Santos, Guarujá, Sorocaba, Taubaté, Araraquara, and Bauru.
This year, the tax authority added an extra confirmation step for bids that exceed 10 times the appraised value of a lot. If a bidder does not confirm such an offer within the required deadline, the bid is automatically disqualified. The measure was introduced to reduce non-serious bids that had been affecting auction completion.
To participate, individuals must be over 18 or legally emancipated, have a CPF tax ID, and hold a silver or gold trust seal on Gov.br. Companies must have an active CNPJ registration and also maintain a silver or gold Gov.br trust seal.
