The New York Knicks’ remarkable postseason run has been fueled not only by their stars, but also by role players who have consistently delivered when needed. One of the most notable examples is guard Landry Shamet, whose impact has gone beyond scoring. Although his 6.6 points per game in the playoffs are lower than his 9.3 points per game during the regular season, his value has come from timely shooting, energy, and steady execution in key moments. As the Knicks move two wins away from their first NBA championship in more than 50 years, Shamet has emerged as an important part of their success.
New York has now won 13 straight playoff games, and Shamet’s contributions have helped support that streak. While he is not among the team’s biggest names, his presence has been meaningful during the run to the NBA Finals. Players in his role often determine whether a deep playoff run continues or stalls, and Shamet has filled that role effectively for the Knicks.
Off the court, Shamet has also had strong support from his girlfriend, Cameron Aimonetti, known as Cammi. Aimonetti is a New York realtor who has managed to balance her own career while regularly attending Shamet’s games. Though the exact start of their relationship is not publicly known, Shamet first appeared on Aimonetti’s social media in September 2024, suggesting they have been together for about two years.
Aimonetti has become a familiar face during the Knicks’ playoff journey, attending games at Madison Square Garden and following the team through the Finals. She also shared an Instagram post on June 7 showing that she was at Game 2 in San Antonio. In the photo, she wore a blue Knicks top, white pants, an orange bag, and white shoes, while captioning the post “Another successful business trip,” a nod to the Knicks’ continued success away from home.
That road success has been a defining feature of New York’s postseason. The Knicks have won their last eight road games in the playoffs, helping them build momentum as they try to close out the series. Aimonetti’s post reflected the team’s confidence and the excitement surrounding the Finals run.
With the Knicks now back at Madison Square Garden and looking to finish the job at home, Shamet and Aimonetti are both part of the broader story around New York’s championship chase. If the series continues, Aimonetti will likely remain a visible supporter. If the Knicks complete the sweep of the remaining games, Shamet’s postseason role — and the support behind him — will be remembered as part of a historic title run.
