Brandi Glanville Says She Spent $10,000 Fighting Ex Eddie Cibrian in Legal Battle

Brandi Glanville says a difficult financial dispute from her divorce from Eddie Cibrian forced her to spend more than $10,000 in legal fees to recover her own retirement savings. Speaking on a recent episode of her podcast, “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered,” the former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star claimed she had to hire a lawyer to get back her 401K during divorce proceedings and said the process took nearly a year to resolve. Glanville said Cibrian was trying to keep the retirement funds and that she had no choice but to pursue a qualified domestic relations order, or QDRO, to divide the account properly. She said the ordeal was expensive and frustrating, and described it as an example of how divorce can become financially complicated.
Glanville and Cibrian finalized their divorce in 2010 after eight years of marriage. The former couple share two sons, Mason and Jake. Their split drew major public attention because Cibrian later became involved with singer and actress LeAnn Rimes after the two had an affair while filming the 2009 movie “Northern Lights.” Cibrian and Rimes married in April 2011. Glanville has spoken publicly before about the emotional toll of the breakup, saying in a 2021 opinion piece that discovering evidence of the affair was devastating and left her in shock.
On her podcast, Glanville also used her own experience to warn other women, especially those on reality television, to pay close attention to finances during marriage and divorce. She said some people do not realize what retirement money or other assets they have until a separation begins. Her comments were framed as advice to fellow Housewives navigating relationships, legal settlements, and long-term financial planning.
Alongside the legal and personal fallout from her divorce, Glanville said she is still dealing with a serious health issue she has described as a facial parasite. She said the condition, which she previously thought had improved, appears to have returned. Glanville told listeners she does not know what is wrong and said she has visited many doctors without getting a clear diagnosis or lasting solution. She said sunlight, parasite medication, and a strict parasite-focused diet seem to help somewhat, but she is still searching for answers and for a specialist who can properly treat her condition.
Glanville’s latest comments add to a long-running public narrative that includes divorce, co-parenting, past allegations of infidelity, and ongoing health struggles. Her remarks on the podcast reflect both the financial strain and emotional impact she says followed the end of her marriage, as well as her continued frustration over her unresolved medical issues.
