Bournemouth Courier Driver Wins £45,000 Ford Mustang Bullitt

A 25-year-old man from Bournemouth has won a Ford Mustang Bullitt in a surprise prize draw after being automatically entered through his BOTB Pass membership. Oscar Keats was at home when BOTB presenter Christian Williams arrived to reveal the win, with Keats’ father secretly helping to set up the moment.

Keats said he was overwhelmed by the unexpected news before even seeing the car, admitting he felt close to fainting. He described the experience as unbelievable and said he was speechless after learning he had won. He added that people around him would likely struggle to believe the news, given that he had not known he was in the running for the competition at all.

The Ford Mustang Bullitt is a special edition inspired by the iconic car driven by Steve McQueen in the 1968 film Bullitt. It combines classic American muscle car styling with modern performance, making it one of the most recognizable versions of the Mustang. Keats said the prize was “proper American muscle” and expressed enthusiasm about owning such an iconic car.

The courier driver explained that BOTB Pass members are automatically entered into selected competitions each month, meaning he had not actively entered the draw himself. That surprise element made the win even more remarkable, as he had no expectation that he was eligible for the car.

Keats also said he regularly visits Germany’s Nürburgring racing circuit each year and is now tempted to take the Mustang there for a drive. The famous track is known as one of the most challenging and celebrated circuits in the world, and his comments suggest the car may soon be seen in a performance setting as well as on the road.

BOTB presenter Christian Williams congratulated Keats on winning the prize and said the most memorable part of the reveal was that the winner had no idea he had even entered for the car because of his BOTB Pass membership. The company says its surprise reveals are a key part of the experience for winners.

BOTB, which was founded in 1999, says it has awarded prizes to more than 585,000 people and has given away £154 million worth of cars to date. The company continues to run prize draws and membership-based competitions for cars and other rewards.
