Manchester City Homecoming Parade: Start Time, Route and Road Closures

Thousands of Manchester City supporters are set to line the streets for an open-top bus parade celebrating a hugely successful season across the men’s, women’s and academy sides.
The bank holiday event will showcase a trophy-laden campaign that saw the men’s team win the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, the women’s team lift the Women’s Super League title, and the academy claim the FA Youth Cup. The club’s achievements across multiple levels are being marked together in a public celebration intended to bring players, staff and fans together.
The parade is due to begin in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, where the men’s squad, the women’s team and the academy players will be introduced to the crowd. At the start of the procession, supporters will be able to see the players and the three head coaches on display as the club celebrates a season of silverware and development.
Pep Guardiola, who is leaving the club, is expected to be among those presented to fans. His departure has added an emotional edge to the day, with the parade offering supporters a final chance to acknowledge his impact and say farewell after the shock announcement that he will step down. Alongside Guardiola, Andree Jeglertz and Oliver Reiss will also take part in the public presentation.
Live music and a big screen are planned in the Northern Quarter to build the atmosphere before the parade gets underway. The club is anticipating a large turnout, with thousands of fans expected to gather to celebrate the team’s success and create a city-centre farewell for Guardiola.
In addition to the parade itself, a separate event titled The After Party is being hosted at Co-op Live. That gathering provides another opportunity for supporters and club figures to continue the celebrations after the main public procession.
The combined celebration reflects Manchester City’s success across the men’s, women’s and youth sides during the season, with trophies won at senior and academy level. By including all three teams in the same event, the club is highlighting not only major honours but also the broader strength of its football structure.
For fans, the day is expected to be both celebratory and sentimental: a chance to enjoy the club’s latest trophies, applaud a dominant season and give Guardiola a final send-off after his confirmed exit. The parade underscores the scale of Manchester City’s achievements while marking the end of an era for one of the club’s most influential managers.
