Immersive Titanic VR Experience Opens in Old Town After Month-Long Delay

The virtual reality Titanic attraction, “Titanic: A Voyage Through Time,” is finally set to open in Chicago after delays pushed back its original launch. The experience was initially scheduled to debut in April in the Old Town neighborhood, but it encountered a licensing issue that forced organizers to cancel selected sessions in April and May.
According to Fever, the company operating the exhibition, the attraction will now open on May 29. In a statement released this week, Fever acknowledged the delays and apologized to visitors whose plans were affected. The company said it had to cancel select sessions because of unexpected delays, and it thanked ticket holders for their patience and understanding during the process.
Fever also confirmed that tickets purchased before the postponement will still be honored. Guests who already bought admission can use their tickets to reserve a new date and time, and they should check their email for instructions on how to rebook. The company said it is excited to welcome visitors as the experience officially arrives in Chicago on May 29.
The exhibition will be located at 108 W. Germania Pl. in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood. It is designed as a 45-minute virtual reality adventure suitable for visitors ages 10 and older. The attraction aims to immerse guests in a Titanic-themed journey that combines history and technology, allowing them to explore the famous ship through a modern VR experience.
Tickets are currently available through the official website, titanicexperiencevr.com/chicago. The experience will be offered in both English and Spanish, making it accessible to a wider audience.
The opening marks a fresh start for the attraction after its delayed rollout. While the licensing issue caused disappointment for some early ticket holders, the company says the experience is now ready to move forward and open to the public. With its blend of immersive storytelling and virtual reality, “Titanic: A Voyage Through Time” is expected to draw interest from local visitors and tourists looking for a unique entertainment option in Chicago.
The attraction adds to the city’s growing list of immersive experiences and offers a new way for audiences to engage with one of history’s most famous voyages. By combining education, technology and entertainment, the exhibition gives visitors a chance to step into a recreated Titanic world without leaving the city.
For those who had planned to attend earlier in the spring, the key update is that tickets remain valid and can be rebooked. The company says affected customers should follow the email instructions sent to them to choose a new visit date.
As the May 29 opening date approaches, “Titanic: A Voyage Through Time” is preparing to welcome its first Chicago visitors after a delayed launch, bringing a new virtual reality attraction to Old Town.
