2026 Gotham TV Awards Winners: Complete List of Honorees

The Gotham Television Awards were presented Thursday night in Manhattan at Cipriani Wall Street, with winners rolling out across 12 categories as the ceremony continued. HBO Max emerged as the early leader, collecting three wins, while Netflix followed with two. The event honored breakthrough television series and performances from 2025 and also included tribute presentations for major figures in television.

Among the comedy categories announced so far, HBO Max’s I Love LA won Breakthrough Comedy Series. Tim Robinson earned Outstanding Lead Performance in a Comedy Series for The Chair Company, also on HBO Max. Netflix’s Laurie Metcalf won Outstanding Supporting Performance in a Comedy Series for Big Mistakes, which entered the night tied for the lead in nominations with Netflix’s limited series Death by Lightning. In the film-related categories, Cory Michael Smith received Outstanding Performance in an Original Film for HBO Max’s Mountainhead. Shudder’s Reflection in a Dead Diamond won Outstanding Original Film, Broadcast or Streaming. Netflix’s Katrina: Come Hell and High Water won Breakthrough Nonfiction Series.

The night also featured several tribute honors. Michelle Pfeiffer received the Legend Tribute. Matt and Ross Duffer, creators of Netflix’s recently concluded Stranger Things, were presented with the Visionary Tribute. Additional honors were scheduled for Claire Danes, who was set to receive the Performer Tribute, Kerry Washington, who was to receive the Spotlight Tribute, and the cast of Love Story: JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, which was to be recognized with the Ensemble Tribute.

In the drama field, the Breakthrough Drama Series nominees included A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms from HBO Max, FX/Hulu’s Alien: Earth, Netflix’s Dept. Q, Apple TV’s Pluribus, and HBO Max’s Task. The race for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series featured Netflix’s Beef and Death by Lightning, HBO Max’s DTF St. Louis and Half Man, and Netflix’s Lord of the Flies.

Lead performance nominees in a drama series included Malin Åkerman for The Hunting Wives, Sydney Chandler for Alien: Earth, Peter Claffey for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Chase Infiniti for The Testaments, and Rhea Seehorn for Pluribus. In the limited or anthology performance categories, nominees included Riz Ahmed for Bait, Jamie Bell for Half Man, Matthew Macfadyen and Michael Shannon for Death by Lightning, Carey Mulligan for Beef, Sarah Pidgeon for Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, Lili Reinhart for Hal & Harper, and more.

Supporting performance nominees included Dexter Sol Ansell and Tom Pelphrey in drama, and Linda Cardellini, David Harbour, Nick Offerman, and Cailee Spaeny in limited series. With more categories still to be announced, the Gotham TV Awards continued to spotlight the year’s most notable breakout series and performances across streaming and broadcast television.
