In another men’s match, Australia’s Thanasi Kokkinakis was locked in a tight first set against French player Terence Atmane on Court 6, with Kokkinakis serving and the score at 3-4. On Court 4, Julia Grabher was pushing Rebecca Sramkova while leading 6-2, 5-2, and on Court 5, Petra Marcinko and Eva Lys were deep into the opening set with Lys ahead 4-3. The women’s contest between Croatia’s Marcinko and Germany’s Lys remained in progress as both players searched for momentum on the Paris clay.
The day’s action also included Aleksandar Kovacevic against Rafael Jodar on Court 12, where the Spanish player Jodar, seeded 27, dominated early by taking the first two sets 6-1 and 6-0 and leading 1-0 in the third.
