Nick Cannon Clarifies Whether Bre Tiesi Is His Favorite Baby Mama

Nick Cannon has addressed rumors that he has a “favorite baby mama,” saying the perception comes from public visibility rather than favoritism among the mothers of his 12 children. Speaking on The Breakfast Club, Cannon said the attention around Bre Tiesi, the mother of his son Legendary Love, is largely because she is already a public figure who works in media and regularly posts on social media. By contrast, he said several of the other mothers of his children prefer to stay private and do not want their lives or families featured publicly.

Cannon said he respects those wishes, noting that some of the women have declined to take part in his upcoming Netflix documentary because they do not want cameras involved in their personal or professional lives. He explained that one of the mothers, who is a psychologist and mother of three of his children, has expressed concern that being publicly identified as a “baby mama” could affect her career. Cannon said he understands that perspective and avoids pushing for public exposure if it could damage their work or privacy.

The entertainer emphasized that he tries to treat all of the mothers of his children fairly and said his relationship with Tiesi stands out mainly because she is in the same industry and is comfortable with media attention. He described his goal as loving everyone “as equally as possible” and said he feels a soul connection with all of the mothers of his children, while also acknowledging that his situation does not fit the traditional idea of having one soulmate.

Cannon’s blended family includes twins Moroccan and Monroe with Mariah Carey; sons and daughters with Brittany Bell, Abby De La Rosa, Alyssa Scott, LaNisha Cole and Bre Tiesi; and the late Zen, his son with De La Rosa, who died at 5 months old in December 2021. Cannon has often spoken publicly about the size of his family and the personal struggles behind it. In September 2025, he described fathering 12 children as a trauma response to his divorce from Carey, saying he did not slow down or properly heal before building the large family he has today.

He said therapy helped him better understand his choices and acknowledge that much of his behavior came from pain rather than planning. Even so, Cannon said he stands by his decisions because he loves his children and values the family structure he has created.
