Lava Launches Bold N2 5G Smartphone for Budget Buyers in India

Lava has expanded its budget smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Bold N2 5G, a new entry-level 5G device aimed at price-conscious buyers. Announced on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, the phone brings a mix of large-screen features, a high-refresh-rate display, and a big battery at a starting price of ₹12,999.
The Lava Bold N2 5G is built with IP64 dust and splash resistance, giving it a degree of protection against everyday exposure to dust and light water splashes. On the front, it features a 6.75-inch HD+ notch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, a specification that should appeal to users looking for smoother scrolling and improved visual responsiveness in a budget handset.
Powering the device is an octa-core 6nm Unisoc T8200 processor, paired with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Lava is also offering virtual RAM expansion of up to an additional 4 GB, which is intended to improve multitasking performance by using part of the storage as temporary memory.
The smartphone runs Android 16 out of the box, making it one of the more up-to-date software offerings in the budget category at launch. For battery life, the Bold N2 5G is equipped with a 6,000 mAh battery, which is significantly larger than what is commonly found in many entry-level phones. It supports 18W charging, and Lava includes a 10W charger inside the retail box.
In terms of cameras, the device carries a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. These specifications suggest a basic imaging setup suited for everyday photography, video calls, and social media use rather than advanced camera performance. The phone is available in two colour options: Regal Gold and Billionaire Blue.
Lava has positioned the Bold N2 5G as a budget 5G option in the Indian market, where affordable smartphones with modern connectivity continue to attract strong demand. The phone will go on sale from June 9 via Amazon, giving buyers an online purchase option shortly after launch.
With its large battery, 120 Hz display, 5G support, and IP64 rating, the Lava Bold N2 5G adds another competitive model to the lower-priced smartphone segment. Its price of ₹12,999 places it in a crowded category, but the combination of specifications may help it stand out among users seeking a practical daily driver with current software, long battery life, and basic durability features.
