Lava has launched a new budget 5G smartphone in India, while Realme has confirmed the launch date for its upcoming P4R 5G. Asus has also expanded its business laptop lineup with a new 360-degree convertible AI-ready device unveiled at Computex 2026.
The newly launched Lava Bold N2 5G comes with a 6,000mAh battery, a 120Hz display, and IP64 protection against dust and water. The phone is available in a single variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It is priced at Rs 12,999, and sales will begin on Amazon from June 9, 2026. As part of the launch offer, buyers will be able to purchase it for Rs 11,999.
In the laptop segment, Asus introduced the ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 (B5406FMA) at Computex 2026. The laptop features a 360-degree convertible design, allowing it to switch between laptop, tablet, tent, and display modes. It is powered by AI-ready Intel hardware and includes dual cameras as well as an integrated MPP 2.0 stylus that can be stored inside the chassis. The device is designed for professionals, teachers, and students looking for a flexible Windows laptop. It also carries a 14-inch NanoEdge touchscreen display.
Realme has announced that the P4R 5G will launch in India on June 10, 2026. The phone is expected to focus on long battery life and improved photography features. It will reportedly pack an 8,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, making it one of the most battery-heavy devices in its segment.
Other upcoming smartphone news also emerged alongside these launches. Reports suggest that the Xiaomi 18 series may debut in September and could become the world’s first phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 flagship chipset. Meanwhile, tipster Ice Universe has said that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra may arrive with a 5,000mAh battery and 45W wired charging.
These developments highlight a busy period for the gadget market, with brands focusing on larger batteries, faster charging, convertible designs, and AI-ready hardware to attract buyers across both premium and budget categories.
